How to Backup and Restore Your Blogger Template

Creating the backup of a blogger template is very important when you are trying to add any new code, trying to change the view or the design of your blog or any other change that involves editing your template. How to Make Backup of Your Blogger Template

First of all, go to blogger and open the desired blog you want to make the backup.

• In the Blogger Dashboard, Goto "Theme" from the left sidebar Menu
• Now you will see a button on the right side of the screen named "Backup/Restore". See the example in the picture. Go on and click on that button.

• A pop-up box will appear. In that pop-up box click on "Download Theme".

• Select the desired place where you want to save the Template and Save it.

The backup of your blogger template is done. Now, whenever you feel like you have messed up your template or simply want to go back to the previous settings then restore your template backup. 

How to Restore Blogger Template?

It's easy to restore your blogger template from a backup you have created before.

Simply perform the given steps below. 

• From the Dashboard of your blogger, Go to "Theme" Tab from the Left Sidebar.
• Now click on "Backup/Restore" Button.

• Click on "Choose file" button from the menu and the browser will open.

Click on Choose file

• Navigate to the backup file you want to restore. It should be in a .xml format file.
• select the file and click on "Upload".

Click upload

• Wait for the file to get uploaded and you are done

Now your backup has been restored.
